Cookie policy
Updated 1 January 2026. Cookies are small files or browser storage values used to remember preferences and support site operation.
1. Essential storage
Nectar uses cookieChoice to remember whether you accepted or rejected the optional cookie notice. It remains until you remove it or clear browser storage.
2. Session technology
Temporary session identifiers may support secure hosting and form handling. They normally expire when the browser session ends and are not used to build an advertising profile.
3. Analytics
If optional analytics is enabled in a future release, the purpose will be aggregate traffic understanding. The maximum planned lifespan is 13 months, with shorter retention for raw event data.
4. Preferences
Preference storage may remember display choices such as dismissing a notice. We will document any named preference before activation and will not use it to infer sensitive attributes.
5. Advertising
Nectar does not place behavioural advertising cookies on this editorial site. Any sponsored content is labelled and does not receive contact-form data for targeting.
6. Consent
Optional cookies are inactive unless you choose to accept them. Rejecting them does not prevent access to ordinary articles, although some convenience features may be unavailable.
7. Browser controls
You can delete cookies through browser settings, block future cookies or receive a warning before storage. Blocking essential storage may affect the notice experience.
8. Third parties
Embedded content, if introduced, may set its own cookies. We review such integrations and link to their notices where practical. Leaving Nectar is the clearest way to apply their policies.
9. Retention review
We review cookie names and lifespans every six months. The review record for 2026 is scheduled for 30 June and 31 December.
10. Contact
Questions can be sent to [email protected] or +62 857 2309 4185. Please include the browser and page involved without sending health information.
11. International processing
Technical vendors may process anonymous operational data outside Indonesia. Contracts and access restrictions are used to limit exposure.
12. Changes
1 January 2026 is the initial publication. A future change to analytics or advertising technology will be dated on this page before implementation where required.
Cookie records are reviewed by purpose rather than collected by default. The essential cookieChoice value contains a simple consent preference and is not intended to identify a person. Where a temporary session value is used, it is limited to the current browser session; it is not retained as a contact list and is not combined with article-reading information for advertising.
A future analytics configuration would use aggregate measurements such as page path, approximate visit timing, device category and referral context. Raw event records would be restricted, reviewed for minimisation and normally deleted or anonymised within 90 days, while aggregated reporting may remain for up to 13 months. We will identify the provider and update this policy before enabling optional analytics in a material way.
To change a choice, delete Nectar cookies and revisit the consent control, or adjust the browser settings for this site. A rejection is respected for optional storage, although the notice may appear again after deletion. Requests about cookie records can be sent to [email protected]; we aim to acknowledge them within 10 business days and explain the practical result of the request.
We review names, purposes and lifespans every six months. The policy was updated on 1 January 2026 and is scheduled for review on 31 December 2026, or sooner if a new embedded service, analytics tool or legal requirement changes the storage profile.
The named cookieChoice value records a consent choice rather than an identity. It normally remains until the visitor removes site data, and it is not combined with contact-form content. Temporary technical values may exist only for the current browser session and are removed when the session closes or when the hosting system expires them.
If optional analytics is activated, a provider such as a privacy-configured traffic measurement service may receive aggregate page, device category and approximate timing information. Raw events would normally be deleted or anonymised within 90 days, while aggregate reporting may remain for up to 13 months. The provider, purpose and configuration will be identified before a material optional measurement feature is enabled.
Preference storage may remember the dismissal of a notice or a display choice, normally for no longer than 12 months. It is not intended to infer sensitive attributes, determine eligibility or personalise advertising. Rejecting optional storage leaves ordinary articles available, although a convenience feature may not remember a previous choice.
To exercise a cookie choice, use the site control where available or delete the site's stored data through browser settings. Questions may be sent to [email protected]; we aim to acknowledge them within 10 business days. Cookie names, purposes and lifespans are reviewed every six months, with the current policy dated 1 January 2026 and the next scheduled review on 31 December 2026.
